ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Tuesday |
Hello and Welcome, What can one say about Tuesday's Main Meeting presentation from David Hall, Symantec. David gave a precise and well informed session on the about to be released Norton 360 V3 in the coming weeks. From what one can gather it is smarter, ultra fast with super light performance and uses significantly fewer system sources, so it won't slow you down. Also we were presented with an insight into the new Norton Utilities V14 which fixes PC problems with one click, speeds up start-up time, optimises hard disk to free up disk space and does heaps of other helpful things to keep ones PC running at its best. Try the 30 day trial and then decide if this is the one for you. David kindly brought along three copies of Norton Utilities for the raffle, many thanks David and Symantec for bringing us up-to-date on their wide range of security products. Disposal of Unwanted Mobile Phones The Spastic Centre and the Aussie Recycling Program have teamed up to help stop millions of unwanted mobile phones from going into landfill. By donating your old mobile phone you will save the environment from long-term pollution. Every mobile phone collected will raise funds for The Spastic Centre. Warren Wyllie has arranged for the free-post satchels, which when received will be kept in the China Cabinet and posted when full. Saturday 7 March - Penrith - Frank Bowman - 3 pm -
6 pm This month we will review some of the work from last year, take a close look at spyware and look at the latest news on Windows 7 and Open Office Version 3. Other topics are bound to surface during the afternoon and if time is available, we will spend some time constructing a simple website using HTML. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Regret there is no 'Tip of the Week' just don't have one.
