HOT PICS FOR SEPTEMBER'

Dave Johnson's Digital Focus
PC World
photo series...

Hello and Welcome,

At the September Main Meeting, a member was using his laptop in the Woolley Room of SMSA. The member left this laptop unattended for a few minutes and during this time the laptop was stolen. Something that one would not expect to happen, but did! All members are reminded that if you bring any expensive equipment to a meeting, please do not leave the item unattended.

Friday 9 October - Seniors - Bill Parry - 10am - 12 noon

Bill Parry will be in Melbourne for a week which includes Friday 9 October. Graham Grant has agreed to take the Friday SIG with his content on that day, and Bill will take the Tuesday SIG with his content on 20 October.

Tip of the Week

Microsoft Security Essentials provides real-time protection for your home PC that guards against viruses, spyware, and other malicious software.

Microsoft Security Essentials is a free* download from Microsoft that is simple to install, easy to use, and always kept up to date so you can be assured your PC is protected by the latest technology. It’s easy to tell if your PC is secure — when you’re green, you’re good. It’s that simple.

Microsoft Security Essentials runs quietly and efficiently in the background so that you are free to use your Windows-based PC the way you want—without interruptions or long computer wait times.

Daylight Saving

Daylight saving will start again in New South Wales on Sunday 4 October 2009 at 2:00 am, when clocks will be put forward one
hour.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So until next week, health and happiness,
Cheers
Elaine
