Hello & Welcome,

There are some great SIG's this week, so if possible come and join your fellow members.

<html>    Anatomy of a Webpage    </html>

Designing a webpage (an html document) can be lots of fun and is certainly not difficult. For a hands-on experience in learning how webpages are made and to get you started as a budding Web Master, open this hand coded text tutorial. Then follow the few simple instructions to turn it into a webpage linked to your desktop. Make changes - experiment - then immediately view and admire your creative effort. Don't worry if you accidentally stuff-up, just start again! jl

Monday 14 December - Stocks & Shares - M Robertson - 6 pm - 8 pm

The ASX All Ord have fallen again today, 10 Dec 2009, to 4623. What will happen next ? Malcolm did a webinair very recently and will tell the group one person's opinion.

John Lucke will look at the paper portfolio he made last meeting and see how it has performed. John Ewing wants to look at "the banks".

We can look at some other presentations, if they are available.

Merry Xmas to all.

Tuesday 15 December - Seniors - G Grant - 10 am - 12 noon

This month there will be an extended Q & A, so if you have any problems that  need solving, bring them along so that the members can share their
thoughts/ideas on how to resolve them for you.

This will be followed by members nominating some of their favourite web sites that they visit and we will have a look at them.

Tuesday 15 December - Genealogy - T Eakin - 1 pm - 3 pm

For those of you who are interested in Genealogy this is a meeting not to be missed. Although there is no advanced information as to the topic, you can be sure that Terry has a fascinating afternoon arranged.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Saturday 19 December - Web Design - R Hume - 2 pm - 4 pm
No details to what is planned for this month, but come along and be pleasantly surprised by what concept of web design Robert has prepared for the afternoon.
Tip of the Week
Strong Password Generator - every computer user should have a strong, random password. This strong password generator will generate secure, random password examples for you to use.
Select the password length, uncheck the checkbox if you do not want symbols in your password, and then use the button to generate a strong, random password.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So until next week, health and happiness,

Cheers

Elaine
