Welcome to all of our new members and subscribers.
 
Great variety of SIG's this coming week for all to enjoy, come along for a great couple of hours of learning, sharing and having fun. If any member has a topic, story, joke or tip to share with their fellow members please forward to me for inclusion in the newsletter.

Tuesday 16 March - Seniors - G. Grant - 9.30am - 12.30pm
 
The session will commence with Q and A, if you have any problems that need solving, bring them along so that the members can share their thoughts/ideas on how to resolve them for you.

After the break Peter Collard will show us the finer points of the program GIMP the free graphics editor.

Tuesday 16 March - Genealogy - T. Eakin - 12.30pm - 3.30pm
 
This month we will continue from last month researching ancestors within Australia and this series will conclude next month.

Friday 19 March - SmartPhone - J. Shiel - 5.30pm - 8.30pm

This month will see the start of the Smartphone SIG and we thank John for his time and input.
 
John will begin with part 1 of an introduction to the field of mobile phones (with a small handout), showing how their power is better than PCs of early 2000, with advanced storage, video, photo, radio, music, calendar, office docs, browsing, email, mapping, communication features, while seeing how various devices address the challenges e.g. fast input/output.
 
There will be a chance to discuss some of the technology over a cuppa, and later discuss some advanced features of other phones of members present.

Saturday 20 March - Web Design - R. Hume - 2.00pm - 4.30pm

Peter Collard and Bob Backstrom will continue with the 2nd demonstration of building a website "from scratch".
 
Peter has compiled detailed notes on the first session, which are attached for those of you who are interested in the 'pros and cons' of web design.

No Wires - Remove wires from your photo in just 3 clicks. No Wires can be used with Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Photoshop Element. Unfortunately, its not free the cost $29.95 USD. It's simple to use see the tutorial.
