STAY SMART ONLINE
Hello and Welcome,
Tuesday 20 April - Seniors - G. Grant - 9.30am - 12.30pm
For next Tuesday's Seniors SIG, we will have our usual Q and A session.

I don't have a specific subject for the second half but I'm sure we will find something to talk about such as the numerous computer web sites that members visit and find interesting.
(Graham Grant)

Tuesday 20 April - Genealogy - T.Eakin - 12.30pm - 3.30pm
This will be the conclusion of Researching Australian Ancestors, the third part of the expansive research topic. The paper will be emailed to members before the SIG on Tuesday.
(Terry Eakin)

Friday 23 April - Digital Photography - P Collard - 9.30am - 12.30pm
With Peter Collard on holidays this month, Roger Foulds has volunteered to lead the SIG and has prepared the following agenda.
  1. Q & A
  2. Photo Exercise Still Life - Discussion of Contributions
  3. Software Updates -
  4. Presentation - Speed and Aperture Settings in depth.
At the Communications SIG we installed the Club's Logitech Web Cam on both the Win7 and the XP systems. We tested it by making a 1 minute movie and played it back. We not only saw the picture but also
we could hear the sound!

The plan is to use the Web Cam to show the operation of the Lumix FZ28 in these two modes after introduction and discussion of the topic. This might lead others to more adventurous exploration of their own cameras.
(Roger Foulds)

Tip of the Week
Copy Plain Text - Firefox Add-on - ever copied something and been annoyed that the text formatting (bold, font size, etc) came with it? This extension gives you an option to copy text without the formatting. It can even be set it to trim extra space in and around the copied text.

So until next week, health and happiness.

Cheers

Elaine
