Hello & Welcome,

Monday 14 June - Stocks & Shares - M. Robertson - 5.30am - 8.30pm
NO meeting this month, Stocks & Shares will return Monday 12 July 2010.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tuesday 15 June - Seniors - G. Grant - 9.30am - 12.30pm
I do not have any thing special to talk about at our Tuesday's Seniors SIG.
We will have our normal Q and A, so I hope that members have plenty of questions to fill the meeting.
(Graham Grant)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tuesday 15 June - Genealogy - T. Eakin - 12.30pm - 3.30pm
Next Tuesday will see the conclusion of the review of "Web Sites for Genealogists" by Cora Num.

The other big event has been the launch of the complete 1901 Census for Ireland (all 32 counties). These are the originals filled in by the households themselves and now digitised and available worldwide.

Hoping to see you there.
(Terry Eakin)

Friday 18 June - SmartPhone - J. Shiel - 5.30pm - 8.30pm
NO Meeting this month, the SmartPhone SIG will return Friday 16 July 2010.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Saturday 19 June - Web Design - R. Hume - 1.30pm - 4.30pm
Robert read a report written by his son Adam setting out ways to optimise web sites to make them easy to find by the web search engines and to get them listed at the top of the listings. It is very complex and takes a lot of time.
We then looked at blogs and tweets to see how they work and what they are used for?
We looked at NOF Essentials to see what we can do with it. This month we will look further into NOF Essentials.
(Robert Hume)
Tip of the Week
How to travel by train or ship don't like flying, or are concerned about air travel's contribution to global warming. Or perhaps you just prefer real travel by train or ship, where the journey is part of the adventure... Either way, The Man in Seat Sixty-One will tell you how to travel overland comfortably & affordably where you might think that air was now the only option.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So until next week, health and happiness,

Cheers

Elaine
