ASCCA CONFERENCE
Australian Computer Conference for Seniors
8th & 9th September

An event not to be missed.

Hello and Welcome,

Another busy week with four Special Interest Group meetings for our members. Please make a special effort to attend this week's Smart Phone SIG on Friday led by John Shiel who makes the trip from Newcastle especially for the presentation. This one promises to be very informative. See below.

Tuesday 17 Aug - Seniors -  G. Grant - 9:30am - 12:30pm
For our next Tuesday's Seniors SIG we will start with our very informative usual Q and A. I also hope to talk about the new video capture facility in Snap 4. Plus we will look at some other utilities.

Tuesday 17 Aug - Genealogy -  T. Eakin - 12:30pm - 3:30pm
No details available as we go to print but there is always plenty to discuss and discover among members of this popular group.

Friday 20 Aug - Smart Phones -  J. Shiel - 5:30pm - 8:30pm
Some phones allow keyboard data entry as well as plug into an external screen or data projector, and we will focus on these at the next meeting. Also, is the iPhone4 the "killer" smartphone, and can you use an external keyboard or is there a better keyboard version coming? We will discuss these and many other issues, so come along and discover the phone technologies of the future.

Saturday 21 Aug - Web Design -  R. Hume - 1:30pm - 4:30pm
The group mostly uses NetObjectsFusion to build their practice website which has evolved over time. You can watch the group's progress from a link at the top of the Web Design page of our club's website.
