Hello and Welcome,
Next week's meetings are listed
below:
Friday 10 December -
Seniors - 9:30am - 12:30pm
Peter Collard will lead the Seniors SIG at
this meeting. He will present "Safe Browsing in a SandBox", a program that
can isolate an Internet browser and the nasties it encounters from the
rest of the system.
There will also be a question and answer
session to consider and solve the day's
computer problems.
Members will adjourn for an end of year
lunch after the meeting.
Friday 10 December -
Communications - J. Lucke - 12:30pm -
3:30pm
Peter Collard is stepping forward again at
this meeting to present a lesson on setting up "Mozilla
Thunderbird" with an emphasis on the filters that direct incoming
mail to specially designated
folders. This overcomes the problem of having thousands of
messages in one in-box.
Most e-mail programs allow filtering, so
the lessons learnt will enable you to configure the program you
use.

Cheers,
John
