Tech Support Package

Some people at Google have prepared a Tech Support package "to help keep tech support a family business".

It might help someone you know who is new to computing.

You can view it here.

Hello and Welcome,

The Stocks and Shares SIG will not be held on Monday because of the public holiday.

The Programming and Web Designs SIGs will meet on Tuesday and Saturday respectively as indicated below.

Tuesday 14 June - Programming -  N. Hoffman - 5:30pm - 8:30pm
At the May meeting Alex showed us some more of the Picaxe Virtual System Modelling program. He used it to verify the power supply circuit Martin showed us at the April meeting. He also applied it to a PWM voltage step-up circuit using a diode pump and a Picaxe-08M. We revisited the Picaxe VSM homepage at http://www.picaxevsm.com.

Martin showed us the Bus Pirate he bought. It is a PCB circuit that interfaces a computer with various chips, including AVRs and PICs. You can program and run them, simplifying prototyping.

Steve demonstrated GotoCamera's free software that shows a webcam's images on the internet.

You are welcome to come and see some new microprocessor applications and programming examples at the June meeting.

Saturday 14 June - Web Design -  R. Hume - 1:30pm - 4:30pm
The Web designers will be beavering away again next Saturday. There is still some work to be done on the topic index for the monthly newsletter and this will be done at this meeting.

You are welcome to come and participate in the discussion.
