Hello and Welcome,

Next week there are three excellent meetings for you to enjoy.

Tuesday 19 July - Seniors -  G. Grant - 9:30am - 12:30pm
Graham will take a look at the 3rd part of Woody Leonhard series "Don't pay for software you don't need" at this meeting. He also has some useful utilities to demonstrate.

There will be a question and answer session at the beginning of the meeting to help resolve members' computer problems.

Tuesday 19 July - Genealogy -  T. Eakin - 12:30pm - 3:30pm
This month the group will work through a case study using English records and some available data bases. The group  also review Government Gazettes.

There will also be a question and answer session on with family history research issues.

Friday 22 July - Digital Photography -  P. Collard - 9:30am - 12:30pm
Peter will start the meeting with a question and answer session and a review of the photographs of bridges taken by members this month.

The main topic for discussion is what people do with their photographs.  What happens after the shutter is released? Are the photographs filed and forgotten, catalogued and kept, uploaded to a sharing site or made into a photo book?

If time permits Peter will discuss archival storage as a means of ensuring that the photographs last and survive for a long time.

Cheers,
John
