Sydney PCUG's Blog
22 - 27 August 2011
Hello and Welcome,
The SIG meeting for next week are:
Tuesday 16 August - Seniors - G. Grant - 9:30am - 12:30pm
Graham will start the meeting with the usual question and answer session.
The focus of the rest of the meeting will be on tablets.
Graham has a new Kindle3 eReader and he will show the group its qualities.
It is hoped that another member may be available to demonstrate his iPad2 tablet.
Tuesday 16 August - Genealogy - T. Eakin - 12:30pm - 3:30pm
Terry has returned from his trip and will lead the group on Tuesday.
Terry will discuss what he learnt while he was away and talk about how genealogy is rapidly changing. He also has some photos to show members.
This promises to be another worthwhile and interesting meeting.
Saturday 20 August - Web Design - R. Hume - 1:30pm - 4:30pm
This month the members of this group will:
- be given an opportunity to demonstrate things they have learnt during the last month or to seek guidance on problems that have been encountered.
- spend some time tidying the SIG's website and adding the monthly newsletters.
- attempt to find out why material cannot be uploaded to their website when using NetObjects Fusion or Core FTP. If a solution cannot be found they will try using FileZilla to see whether the problem stems from something in their computer or in the ISP's server.
Please remember if your e-mail address is changed for any reason at all, unless you tell me your new address you will not receive these weekly updates! Any change of address should be notified to email@example.com
