ZTreeVer 2.2

Some members will remember a very popular DOS based file manager called XTree. It is no longer available but some clone versions of XTree will run under the newer operating systems.

One clone version of Xtree is called ZTree and it will run in Windows NT, 2000, XP, Vista & Windows 7 (both 32 and 64 bit versions). The program was viewed at the Friday's Seniors SIG this week. A trial version can be downloaded here.

Hello and Welcome,

There are two meetings being held next Tuesday. Details are as follows:

Tuesday 18 October - Seniors -  G. Grant - 9:30am - 12:30pm
This group will start the meeting with a question and answer session to resolve members' questions.

It is not always easy to find new topics for these meetings but there are always new pieces of software and utilities to examine and assess.

Graham has several utilities to look at this month and he will take a look at what the new Windows 8 operating system has in store for us.

It will be another interesting meeting so come along and learn something new.

Tuesday 18 October - Genealogy -  T. Eakin - 12:30pm - 3:30pm
Terry Eakin will be at the meeting to lead a question and answer session and a general discussion of matters relating to genealogy.

It promises to be another interesting session for the family historians.

You are welcome to come and join them.

Cheers,
John
