Hello and Welcome,
The Sydney PC Users Group is
offering four meetings next week for members and visitors. Here are
the details:
Monday 14 November -
Stocks & Shares - M. Robertson
5:30pm - 8:30pm
The stock market volatility
continues to perplex and trouble shareholders around the
world.
On Monday the members of this SIG will scan the
Internet for sites that analyse the factors influencing world markets and
provide some feasible predictions.
In addition they will look at some interesting
shares to see if they are worth buying now or in the future.
It should be an interesting evening!
Tuesday 15 November - Seniors -
G. Grant - 9:30am - 12:30pm
Graham will have
a look at the new Windows 8 program and if there is time check out some
useful utilities.
There will, of course, be
a question and answer session at the beginning of the meeting to
consider computer issues and problems.
Tuesday 15 November - Genealogy
- T. Eakin - 12:30pm - 3:30pm
Terry reports that he is
doing really well following his knee replacement three weeks ago and he is
planning to lead this month's meeting.
At the meeting he intends
to look at some reports on the Internet including the just released Crown
& Peace records from Ireland. It contains the Irish Prison Registers for
the period 1790 - 1920 which has over 3.5 million records.
Saturday 19 November - Web
Design - R. Hume - 1:30pm -
4:30pm
When a web site is being
built there are always new pages to be planned, designed and put into
place. This will occur again when the Web Designers meet next
Saturday.
During this process questions will be asked
and answered not only about the task at hand but about issued the
members want to explore.
Why not join them and learn about the joys and
tribulations of building a web site. You will be
welcome.

Cheers,
John
