Hello and Welcome,
On behalf of all the
Committee, I take this opportunity to wish all our members a happy and
safe festive season.
The Club continues in the
tradition of recent years with regular monthly meetings of both the main
meeting and the Special Interest Groups ably led by their leaders who put
in the time and effort to produce varied, informative and interesting
meetings. Of course this effort is only rewarded by lively involvement of
those attending and the availability of comfortable and friendly meeting
rooms with reliable computer, projector, audio and internet connections to
enhance the experience.
As always we look forward to
welcoming more visitors to our meetings and an increasing membership and
member participation during 2012.
Roger Foulds
SPCUG President
Next week's meetings
are:
Tuesday 20 December - Seniors -
G. Grant - 9:30am - 12:30pm
This group's last meeting for
the year will start with a question and answer session.
Bill Parry will then give a follow up talk on the
back up program SyncBack.
If members have other programs that they would
like to discuss they will be most welcome to do so at the meeting. If
there is time before lunch, Graham also has
several utilities to demonstrate.
An end of year lunch is being held at the Star Bar
in George Street between 12 noon and the start of the Genealogy SIG
meeting. You are invited to join them.
Tuesday 20 December - Genealogy
- T. Eakin - 12:30pm - 3:30pm
Members
of this group will join the Seniors group for lunch at the Star Bar before
the meeting commences.
At the meeting afterwards, Terry Eakin has a range
of interesting and informative material to discuss with
members.
It promises to be a worthwhile meeting
so come along and enjoy the discussion and the
festivities.

Best
wishes for the festive season and a happy and healthy New
