Hello and Welcome,
We have two meeting next week
and the details are outlined below.
Tuesday 13 March - Programming
- N. Hoffman - 5:30pm - 8:30pm
At the February meeting Lino
showed a movie of a Pick & Place machine from the South Australian PIC
User Group. He also showed from the same source some pictures of a
home-built manual PCB drilling machine. The board is moved on a springy
base between a camera above it and a drill below. You align a pad to
crosshairs on a screen and press the board down onto the drill.
Alex showed Bluetooth wireless 2-way communication between a computer and his Fez Panda II board, using a virtual slide switch on the computer and a rotary switch on the Panda. He also showed how he connected his computer wirelessly to a thermometer inside a fridge, and with some C# programming, monitored and graphed the temperature. Steve showed his completed electrolysis project, all boxed up and with operating instructions. Next Tuesday the group will see
some new microprocessor applications and programming examples.
Saturday 17 March - Web
Design - R. Hume - 1:30pm -
4:30pm
The group will meet next
Saturday to plan and design some pages for their web site.
There will be a question and answer session
at the meeting at which members can discuss web page construction and any
problems they may have encountered during the month.

P.S. The Club's Web
site went off-line sometime today. We are working to restore the
service as quickly as possible.
Cheers,
John Mathews
