Hello and Welcome,

Robert Israel's links
At this week's Main Meeting, Robert Israel drew members' attention to "Stanza Desktop ", a program that not only allows users to read eBooks on a PC but allows many file formats to be converted into the "ePub" format used by eBook readers. The webpage link provided by Robert also mentioned a library management program called "Calibre" which has an extensive range of functions for eBook readers.

Robert Israel's monthly links are listed on the club's website.

There is one meeting for members this week. Here are the details:

Saturday 2 June - Penrith Group  -  F. Bowman - 2:00pm - 5:00pm
This meeting will commence with a question and answer session to resolve problems and exchange information and tips around the table.

The members will then proceed to:
1. have a close look at Ashampoo Office, a low cost alternative to Microsoft Office;
2. work with some HTML code and add it to a website;
3. use a free program to convert long PDF files to Word files; and
4. share and discuss a range of freeware programs.

The Penrith Group meets at St Clair High School, Endeavour Avenue, St Clair.

You are welcome to attend.

John Mathews
