Hello and Welcome,

The Club's computer died yesterday! It happened suddenly in the presence of a sympathetic audience at the Fridays Seniors SIG meeting. A faulty motherboard is believed to be the cause of the problem.
A new motherboard and an Intel Core i7 Processor will be installed in the computer case on Tuesday morning in the presence of the Tuesdays Seniors group.
Later in the day Terry Eakin will lead the Genealogy group in their discussion of family history issues.

Tuesday 18 September- Seniors - G. Grant - 9:30am - 12:30pm
Graham Grant will start the meeting with a question and answer session to explore and resolve problems being encountered by members. The group will also be able to observe the installation of the motherboard in the Club's computer during the meeting.
In the second half of the meeting Graham will look at a number of utility programs recommended on the "Ask Leo" site. Members already use programs from this site but there are some new ones that look interesting enough to be examined further.

Tuesday 18 September - Genealogy - T. Eakin - 12:30pm - 3:30pm
Terry Eakin will look at some free books that can be downloaded from the Internet to eBook readers. He will also discuss a new CD that will soon be available from Pastkeys that contains the NSW Immigration Deposit Journals. These records have been rewritten and contain a combined index of 71,212 immigrant records.

There will also be a question and answer session at the meeting.
