Hello and Welcome,
The
Penrith Group will hold their first meeting for the year next Saturday.
Their programme for the day is
below:
Saturday 2 February - Penrith Group
- F. Bowman - 2:00pm - 5:00pm
Frank
Bowman will start the meeting by holding a question and answer
session around the table where problems, advice and tips are shared
amongst the members.
At
their last meeting the group installed DOS BOX on a laptop and
successfully ran an old DOS game. They also tested Audacity, the free
audio editor, and found it is loaded with features and is easy to use.
Another free program they used was Freemake, which appears to
convert videos from one format to another well and
painlessly.
At next week's meeting they will view some online
reports from the recent CES displays in Las Vegas, install Auto Play menus
on CDs and DVDs, use a digital voice recorder and look at newspaper
reports on the ten top tech innovations for 2012.
The Penrith Group meets at the St Clair High School, Endeavour Avenue, St Clair. All members are welcome to attend. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cheers,
John
Mathews
