Hello and Welcome,

The Fridays Seniors and the Communications SIGs will meet next Friday and details of those meetings are below:

Friday 8 March - Seniors - Leader - 9:30am - 12:30pm
The project to restore the Acer Notebook has progressed further and the steps taken to achieve this result will be discussed at this meeting.

Members will have an opportunity to consider any residual problems that might remain in the computer and explore how these might be remedied.

In addition, the copy of "Microsoft Office" which was obtained under the DonorTech program will be installed on the club's computer.

There will also be question and answer session to allow members to discuss any problems they are experiencing with their computers or programs.

Friday 8 March - Communications -  J. Lucke - 12:30pm - 3:30pm
Is your browser open to attack? Alarmingly, the recent spate of attacks on giants like Apple, Microsoft and Facebook are all suspected as browser violations.

At this meeting, John Lucke will look at how hackers are able to breach modern browser security and what can be done to reduce the risk of this type of attack.

There will be a question and session answer and general discussion on any communications topics and, if time allows, another attempt will be made to activate "Mail Store" to archive the club's emails.

Cheers,
John Mathews
