Hello and Welcome,
The first of the April meetings start at Penrith
next Saturday and details are below.
Saturday 6 April - Penrith
Group - F. Bowman - 2:00pm - 5:00pm
At their last meeting the Penrith group researched
information on the miniature Raspberry Pi computer with the help of
Google and some magazines. Two members of the group are now keen to
buy one to examine some of its possible uses.
The group also discussed one
technology writer's list of the ten top technology innovations for
2012 which included such things as smaller tablets, larger mobile
phones and the Instagram boom.
At this month's meeting the group will: - test a useful utility that graphically displays the size of all files on a partition; - use Microsoft Publisher to produce an A5 size
newsletter; and
- look at how some institutions are enhancing the security of passwords. As well, there will be a question and answer
session around the table to share problems, advice and tips.
The Penrith Group meets at St Clair High School,
Endeavour Avenue, St Clair.

Cheers,
John Mathews
