Hello and Welcome,

Details of next week's meetings are below.

Tuesday 20 August - Seniors - 9:30am - 12:30pm
The members will take an in-depth look at the tips, tricks and short cuts that can be used in Windows 7 at this meeting. They may not know all of the ones discussed and others may have been forgotten but either way the discussion should help simplify some of their everyday computer tasks.
The members will also have an opportunity to participate in a general discussion and question and answer session at the meeting.

Tuesday 20 August - Genealogy - T. Eakin - 12:30pm - 3:30pm
The topic of Terry Eakin's talk this month will be "Researching the Early Free Settlers ".

The small group of free settlers who arrived in Australia before 1800 came as free persons, officer-settlers or soldiers who retired and chose to stay after obtaining the permission of the authorities. Many of these settlers contributed greatly to the colony's commercial, legal and social framework.

This discussion will set the ground work for next month's presentation on the "September launch and use of the Biographical Dictionary of Australia".

Friday 23 August - Digital Photography - 9:30am - 12:30pm
At this meeting the group will continue to consider how still digital cameras can be used to video scenery and interesting events. Members will also show and discuss the experimental videos they have taken during the last month.

A general discussion of photography issues and a questions and answer session will be held at the meeting.
