SIGs
13 - 18 January 2014
Avast 2014 |
Hello and Welcome,
Details of the first two
meetings for 2014 are below.
Friday 10 January
- Seniors - 9:30am - 12:30pm
Some
time has passed since we had a good look at some of the features that
exist within Microsoft Word and at this meeting we will explore some of
the tips and tricks that members may have forgotten.
There will also be a question
and answer session to explore any computer problems members may have
encountered in recent weeks.
Friday 10 January -
Communications - J. Lucke - 12:30pm -
3:30pm
The
topic for this month's meeting is the burgeoning cost of
communications.
Australians are spending an ever increasing
portion of their income on communications and the point has been reached
where the average communication costs are twice the amount that was spent
30 years ago and double the amount currently spent on electricity.
The true cost of telephone and Internet
communications will be examined at this meeting and some of the ways to
reduce these expenses will be discussed.
The usual question and answer session and general
discussion on communications will also be held at the
meeting.
