Hello and Welcome,

Next week's meeting details are below.

Tuesday 8 July - Programming - N Hoffman - 5:30pm - 8:30pm
At the June meeting Martin showed how he motorised a motel carpark gate and using OpenWRT enabled guests to open it with their RFID room keys.

He also introduced us to OzBerryPi - a monthly meetup of people in Sydney who build internet connected things using open source software and hardware. They build projects with Arduino, RaspberryPi, Beaglebone, OpenWRT, Teensy, Android and various microcontrollers.

Christopher explained the details of registering a domain name.

Members of the group will demonstrate some new microprocessor applications and programming examples at Tuesday's meeting.  -  Neville Hoffman

Friday 11 July - Seniors - 9:30am - 12:30pm
John Lucke has downloaded and tried scores of free programs over the years; some are kept but most are discarded.

He still maintains quite a collection of the better programs and they are frequently used.

At this meeting, John will discuss and show you some of his favourite programs and explain where you can get them for your computer.

A question and answer session will also be held at the meeting.

Friday 11 July - Communications - J Lucke - 12:30pm - 3:30pm
John Lucke will look at some of the newest and best e-mail clients for desktop computers, tablets and smartphones at this meeting.

He will compare their features and usability and discuss their backup options.

There will also be general discussion and question and answer session on communication topics.
