Hi John, Details of next week's meetings are below: *Tuesday 19 August - Seniors - 9:30am - 12:30pm* Computers have complex operating systems and there are many tools that can be used to maintain them in good condition. At this meeting the group will explore some of the system tools that are built into Microsoft Windows, look at some of the precautions that can be taken to overcome problems when they occur and create a system repair disk that can be used when an operating system fails to start. There will also be a question and answer session at the meeting to assist any members who have computer problems. *Friday 22 August - Digital Photography - 9:30am - 12:30pm* GIMP is an image manipulation program that was developed to create and edit bitmapped images. Even though it is a complex program members enjoy using it to enhance their photographs. Some of GIMP's basic tools were demonstrated at recent meetings and other features in the program will be considered at this meeting.
