TWEAK HOUND

Here is a site for the computer enthusiast.

Hello and Welcome,

This month Alex Zaharov-Reutt is celebrating his 40th birthday and while it may be a little late to wish him a happy birthday we can at least extend to him our best wishes for the future. You will find Alex's message about this month's Main Meeting is below.

Next month we will be celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the formation of the Sydney PC User Group at the September Main Meeting.  A representative from Google will also be at that meeting to tell us about their company's products. While we are a little late congratulating Alex it is not too late for you to ensure your place at the Anniversary celebrations if you register here.

Tuesday 26 August - MAIN Meeting - 5:45pm - 8:30pm
Not only did Alex finally turn 40 years old earlier this month, but we are welcoming Derek Austin back to the Sydney PC Users Group for the second month running!

Derek Austin will talk about the usefulness of PDF as a format and how it may be used on mobile and desktop devices to make it easy to share documents. PDF popularity has exploded as it's a universal format that works on any device.

Derek will also demonstrate Nuance’s latest Power PDF software for Windows, which Nuance undoubtedly hopes makes Adobe PDF software completely irrelevant, while being dramatically cheaper.

Come along for your chance to win one of two copies of Power PDF Advanced in the raffle!

We'll also have our regular sessions with Q&A, consumer reports, tutorials and plenty more.

See you there!

Cheers,

Alex.
