Hello and Welcome,
The
group that meets at Penrith each month always has an interesting program
of activities and this month is no different. Details are
below:
Saturday 6 December - Penrith Group
- F Bowman - 2:00pm - 5:00pm
Frank Bowman will start this
meeting with a question and answer session around the table to give
members the opportunity to share problems, advice and tips.
During the afternoon the group will:
(a) do an image backup of the C: drive on a
laptop computer that uses Microsoft Windows 8.1;
(b) have a close look at some of the features in Libre Office and compare these with the features in Microsoft Word and Excel; (c) gather some information about the forthcoming Microsoft Windows 10 operating system; (d) discuss a recent magazine article which compared cameras in smartphones with compact digital cameras; (e) discuss an article that appeared in a
newspaper this week with the title "Top Dozen Tech Gadgets for 2014"; and
(f) complete some unfinished matters from the previous meeting. This meeting will be held in a member's home. If
you intend to go to the meeting please ring Frank on 4722 2456 for
directions.
