Hello and Welcome,
Details of the last meeting being held this year are below.
Tuesday 16 December - Tuesday Forum - 9:30am - 12:30pm
This month
Tim Kelly will continue exploring RSS Feeds with particular attention being given
to audio and video podcasts and software.
A number of podcast managers will be examined including iTunes, Juice, and gPodder as well as some hardware players. There will also be a question
and answer session at the meeting.
Tuesday 16 December - Family
History - T Eakin - 12:30pm - 3:30pm
At this
meeting Terry Eakin will demonstrate how the revamped NSW Births, Deaths
and Marriages Indexes website can be used to find the records of your
family members.
The
records in these indexes are available up to the end of 1913 for births,
1963 for marriages and 1983 for deaths. In addition, births recorded
during 1914 to 1918 are available on the NSW CD ROM Federation series 1889
- 1918.
The
initial teething problems in the online indexes now appear to be over and
Terry has found the records for family members up to the dates indicated above.
If you
have been unable to locate information relating to any of your family
members who resided in NSW you are invited to bring the details to the
meeting. Terry has offered to use those details to search the records and
if any information is located he will print a copy for you to take home
free of charge.
