of next week's meetings are
below.
Tuesday 16 February
- Tuesday Forum - 9:30am - 12:30pm
Tim Kelly will look at a range of useful free
programs that can improve your computer's performance and safety at this
month's meeting.
He will also visit a number of websites that
provide useful and sometimes quirky information.
As always there will be a question and answer
session at the meeting where members can discuss computer related
problems.
Tuesday 16 February - Family
History - T Eakin - 12:30pm - 3:30pm
Terry Eakin will show how Google and
other search engines can be used for Family History Research at this
month's meeting.
Terry has noted that the Roman
Catholic registers in the National Library of Ireland have been indexed
and a new free online site will be launched on Wednesday 16 March 2016,
one day after next month's meeting.
He will discuss how these indexes
can be accessed at this meeting.
There will be a question and answer
session at the meeting to allow members to discuss any family history
issues.
Saturday 20 February
- Web Design - S South - 1:30pm -
4:30pm
In what
is Part 2 of an Introduction to JavaScript, John Symonds will demonstrate
some more snippets of code that can be used to create JavaScript
applications at this month's meeting.
He will
look at code that will find the largest of five numbers and another that
will validate that an e-mail has been entered in a valid format.
There
are many useful tutorials on YouTube and the group will look at some of
these during the course of the meeting.
