Hello and Welcome,

Details of this week's meetings are below.

Tuesday 17 May - Tuesday Forum - 9:30 - 12:00

Firstly, we will update our LibreOffice (MS Office look-a-like) program to the newest version. Then Joan will demonstrate how she has been using LibreOffice to create attractive documents.

Also, as this program is popular with our members we may look at some of the additional new features of this latest release if time allows. As well, there will be the usual Q & A session plus general discussion.

Tuesday 17 May - Family History - Please note the May meeting has been cancelled as our gallant leader is over seas.

Saturday 21 May - Web Design - 2:00 - 4:00

This month the web design group gets flexible. Flex is the new buzz word in CSS. Up to now setting up a layout involved things like position, floats, margins and padding. Getting three columns of equal heights and different background colours was quite a feat. Flex makes it so much easier.

We will have an in-depth look at how this new standard works with some examples of a practical nature.

If we have time we could have a Q & A session as well.
Steve South
