Details of this week's meetings are below.

Friday 10 June - Friday Forum - 9:30 - 12:00

This promises be a busy meeting with different items listed for discussion and action.

  • Roger will consider and discuss some of the main points from ASCCA's "May Tech Info for Clubs" document.
  • Using Belarc Advisor, demonstrate how to interpret the computer system's health.
  • Consider how to disable some of the seldom used programs that needlessly slow a computers opening at every start-up.

There will be the usual Q & A session and general discussion as well.

Friday 10 June - Communications - 1:00 - 3:00

With Australians spending more than half a day per week on Facebook alone according to a recent survey, this week we will have a look at why social media has exploded from email only communication so quickly.

We will discuss why you may want to embrace some of the different social media formats, apps and widgets that have become popular in recent times plus some security issues to consider.

There will also be time for general discussion plus Q & A
