Reports from our 2015 Meetings
Today was a mix of ideas and presentations. I had presented a talk on Serif and Expression Web 4 at Customs House Library and we discussed the failure of the projection equipment and how it rather undermined the talk.
We then had a look at a new course available free from Sitepoint. It discusses the latest trend to build single page sites and the new methods used in construction. We will continue to see how the page is constructed over the next few months.
We then went on to have a look at Mozello a free web site builder, it was one of the items I ran out of time to present on the Friday.
All you need is the information and the images you are going to use. You can pick a domain name for the site, the type of template you like
and the start building. If you choose to upgrade the paid site is $6 a month
and comes with a domain name.
After the break John Lucke demonstrated how he had used Expression Web to build and accordion menu on his test site. http://12phillipstreet.com/accordion-menu.html
The accordion menu is available from the snippets menu under the UI Widgets in the JQuery menu. .
