What we did
August 2024 : This month we looked at how to establish your own YouTube channel then we looked at an article on how to create re-usable CSS layouts.
Your Tube Channel
If you have a Google account you have a YouTube channel. All you need is to set it up. Once you have logged into your account on your browser you will find this a the top of the page.
Hover over the 9 dots to open your Google account programs including YouTube.
And click on YouTube
This opens YouTube.
Once there you click on "Your Channel"
That takes you to your YouTube channel. Once there you can customise the channel and start adding videos.
Here is my own YouTube Channel.
After the break we looked at the article by Brecht De Ruyte called
"Modern CSS Layouts: You Might Not Need A Framework For That"
The idea is that you create one CSS for all layouts and apply those classes you need for the site you are creating.
The concept creates one CSS using both grid and flexbox layout styles which are applied as needed for your design needs.
We looked at the codepen example in the article to see how the idea should work.
Here is the example they used of a Fluid Grid. When we tried it it failed.
